Los Molinos de Xomezana

The Los Molinos de Xomezana Route is one of the most accessible proposals in the council of Lena. Its path allows you to enter a landscape of forest, stream, and traditional trails, showing how water was an essential force for generations. It is a short, comfortable route with high patrimonial value, ideal for a quiet and family experience.

The itinerary starts from Xomezana Baxo and is a circular route of approximately 2.53 kilometers, with a positive and negative elevation gain of 122 meters. With an altitude ranging between 568 and 690 meters, its difficulty is low, making it a perfect option for all audiences.

From the very first steps, the path invites you to observe the details: stone walls, humid vegetation, and the course of the stream. The route does not seek great peaks, but rather to bring the hiker closer to the relationship between the village, the water, and traditional work. It is a journey best enjoyed without haste, stopping to read the history of every corner.

One of the main attractions is the presence of several traditional mills, some restored and others preserved as a witness to the past.
