El Alma de Asturias

The Central Mountain area brings together Aller, Lena, Mieres, Morcín, Ribera de Arriba, and Riosa, six municipalities united by the mountains but with different landscapes and ways of life. To the south rise Las Ubiñas and the passes of the Mountain Range; towards the center appear the Aramo Range, the mining valleys, the Nalón meadows, and villages where livestock farming, industry, and daily life coexist.

Exploring it allows you to travel from Santa Cristina de Lena to the mines of Mieres, from the chapels of Monsacro to the hórreos of Bueño, or from the Foces de El Pino to the slopes of the Angliru. Nature, heritage, and memory are all part of the same territory, close to the main Asturian cities and with many reasons to stop, get to know it, and return.
